At the Rocks, Langebaan
Langebaan is approximately 130 km (one and a half hour's drive) due north from Cape Town. From the N1, take the R27 past Blaaubergstrand - generally in the direction of Namibia - and take the Langebaan turnoff just past the Engen Service station. Another ten kilometers and you are there. Langebaan - different look, different seasons

It looks very dull and brown in the summer, but come spring, the wild flowers erupt into a festival of colour.... well worth a visit!
And in winter everything is gloriously green and lush. "Low summer"
- our best kept secret.
Wish my garden looked like this all year round! But the festival of flowers takes place during only a short period in July/August/September, depending on the rainfall.
